Behavioural indicators of Gastro-Oesophageal Reflux Disease and associations with self-injury in individuals with an intellectual disability (GI project)

Researchers at University of Birmingham developed a screening tool to detect gastric pain in children with limited vocabulary and intellectual disability.

The study had two components: 1) an evaluation of the psychometric properties of the Gastro-Oesophageal Reflux Questionnaire (GRQ) and 2) a preliminary evaluation of the association between GRQ scores and self-injury.

Please note - data collection for this study is now complete. Thank you to all the families who took part!
